Face to Face: Samoa Joe – Eddie Kingston

Samoa Joe will defend the AEW World Championship against Eddie Kingston next week on AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming. Tony Schiavone said everybody is banned from ringside for this face to face. Joe said HOOK grew up with a championship legacy. He wanted him to see what it was like on the other side, so he had him hang out with Kingston. Kingston said Joe used to be respected as a submission machine and a great ROH Champion, but now he jumps people from behind. If Joe doesn’t bring that person he used to be next week, he will eat him alive.

Backstage:

HOOK said Samoa Joe will defeat Eddie Kingston next week. Powerhouse Hobbs said Dark Order was impressive last night on ROH. If Dark Order can get past them, they can get a title shot against The Opps next week. HOOK said he knows the Dark Order are friends with Adam Page, so they will have fun with them tonight.

Continental Classic Gold League: Kazuchika Okada (0 Pts) vs PAC (3 Pts)

PAC hit a German suplex for a near fall. Okada came back with a Tombstone Piledriver. PAC gave Okada a Brainbuster off the top rope and hit a Rainmaker. He went for the Brutalizer, but Okada blocked it, rolled him up to score the pinfall, and score 3 points.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada

Backstage:

Mark Briscoe said he once thought Daniel Garcia was the real deal but now he’s falling into a trap with the Death Riders. He went to Tony Khan and said he wants to defend his title against Garcia, and Khan said he can at Winter is Coming.

Backstage:

Ricochet said he will make his debut in ROH this Friday at ROH Final Battle against Dalton Castle. He is going to follow that up with a defense on Saturday on Collision.

Backstage:

This Saturday on Collision it will be Orange Cassidy vs Roderick Strong in the Continental Classic.

Update:

After the match last week between Darby Allin and Kevin Knight, Allin checked himself into a hospital. He is not cleared to compete tonight. They hope to have an update this Saturday on Collision.

Continental Classic Gold League: Kyle Fletcher (3 Pts) vs Kevin Knight (3 Pts)

Knight hit a coast to coast dropkick on Fletcher. He followed it up with a reverse splash on Fletcher but Fletcher rolled him up for a near fall. Fletcher hit Knight with a pop-up powerbomb for a two-count. Knight blocked a suplex and rolled up Fletcher for a near fall. Knight charged at Fletcher and was met with a superkick. Fletcher charged at Knight with a running kick in the turnbuckle. Fletcher finished him off with a brainbuster and pinned him to score 3 points.

Winner: Kyle Fletcher

In the ring:

Don Callis said he has something to say about The Young Bucks. Hechicero and Josh Alexander came to the ring. Callis said he can’t forgive the Bucks for siding with Kenny Omega. He said he has the Bucks money and told them to come to the ring and try to take it. The Bucks hit the ring. The Bucks gave Alexander and Hechicero a superkick, and then gave Fletcher the BTE Trigger. The Bucks grabbed their money. 

Okada came to the ring and hit Matt Jackson with a Rainmaker. Okada blocked a superkick from Nick Jackson and was jumped by the Don Family. The Jurassic Express came to the aid of the Bucks. Okada gave Luchasaurus a low blow. The Family then went to work on Jack Perry. Callis joined in on the attack until Kenny Omega hit the ring and cleared the ring of the Don Callis Family, but not before the family took off with the money.

AEW World’s Tag Team Championship Tournament Semifinal Hardcore Holiday Death Match: Timeless Love Bombs (Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa) vs MegaProblems (Megan Bayne & Marina Shafir)

Storm busted Shafir open when she broke a champagne bottle over her head. Shirakawa brought a big candy cane wrapped in barbed wire into the ring to use on Bayne. A table, chair, and frying pan were used. Storm gave Bayne a piledriver through a table outside the ring. Shafir took down Shirakawa and hooked in the Mother’s Milk. Storm handed Shirakawa a pool stick to hit Shafir and escape the hold. Bayne speared Shirakawa through a table. Storm gave Bayne a Storm Zero on top of Shafir. 

A guy in a Santa Clause outfit came in with a box. He took off his beard to reveal Luther. Shafir grabbed the box but there wasn’t anything in it. Luther gave her the finger. While this was happening, Storm emptied thumb tacks onto the mat from a Santa hat. Storm hit Shafir with a German suplex on the tax. Luther handed Storm a shoe. Storm hit Shafir in the head with it and pinned her.

Winners: Timeless Love Bombs

Backstage:

Jamie Hayter told Kris Statlander they will defeat Sky Blue and Julia Hart, then after that, they can have a chat. Statlander asked her about what? Hayter looked at her title belt.

Backstage:

Dark Order were walking backstage. Adam Page started to walk by them. Dark Order told Page that they know he’s looking for blood, but warned him not to ruin this for them. Page agreed but said the second the match is over, he’s going after the Opps.

Backstage:

Mercedes Mone will defend her ROH TV Title against Red Velvet at ROH Final Battle.

Backstage:

FTR and Stokely said they will get revenge on Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn on Collision.

The Opps (Powerhouse Hobbs, Katsuyori Shibata, and HOOK) vs Dark Order (John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Evil Uno)

Shibata and HOOK caught Silver and Reynolds in sleeper holds while Hobbs gave a spinebuster to Uno to pin him.

Winners: The Opps

After the match, Adam Page came in with a chain and hit the Opps with it. Shibata and Hobbs made a comeback. Shibata held Page. Hobbs went for a clothesline, Page ducked, and Shibata got hit with it. Page hit Hobbs with a beer bottle. As he went for the Buckshot Lariat, security came in to stop him. Page beat up the security to end the segment.

Backstage:

Okada said what happened earlier was Takeshita’s fault. Don Callis told him Takeshita is in training for his match this Saturday on Collision. Takeshita stepped in and got in Okada’s face with Callis getting between them. Callis said at All In, Okada went in as the Continental Champion. He defeated Kenny Omega and then became the International Champion. They created a Unified Championship representing both championships. Callis was asked why he isn’t putting both legs of the title on the line in the tournament. Callis said there is no reason to make a stupid decision like that. Kyle Fletcher said that with him and Takeshita in the tournament, the Continental Championship will stay in the Don Callis Family.

Backstage:

Adam Page said he fought for three years to win the AEW Championship and HOOK cost him the title. He told Hobbs and Shibata that if they want a fight, they got one next week at Winter is Coming. He not coming alone. He told them he knows who’s coming for them.

Continental Classic Blue League: Jon Moxley (3 Pts) vs Claudio Castagnoli (3 Pts)

Claudio swung Moxley into the ring steps during the commercial break which cut him open. Claudio hooked Moxley in the crossface. Moxley hit a cutter on Claudio. Claudio clotheslined Moxley. Moxley is bleeding profusely. Moxley clotheslined Claudio and then a curb stomp for a near fall. Moxley caught Claudio with a sleeper. Moxley escaped and dumped Moxley over the top rope. Claudio hit Moxley with a running uppercut outside the ring and threw him back inside. He followed it up with a powerbomb for a near fall. Claudio then hit Moxley with another running uppercut and pinned Moxley to earn three points.

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli
