The Young Bucks didn’t receive a ring entrance. They used the TK Driver on Turbo and pinned him. After the match, Okada came into the ring and helped The Young Bucks attack The Outrunners. This brought out Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana. The Outrunners cleared the ring of The Young Bucks. Strickland got in the ring and helped The Outrunners beat up Okada.
Winners: The Young Bucks
Backstage:
Mark Briscoe was looking for MJF. Ricochet and the GOA entered and threatened to beat up Briscoe like they did at Revolution. Briscoe said he feels like a whole different animal than the person he was at Revolution. Ricochet said he will see him later tonight.
MJF is out of the Hurt Syndicate
MJF said he’s going to clear the air between him and the Hurt Syndicate. He knocked on their door and Shelton Benjamin came out. MJF told Benjamin that he is sorry for Bob’s actions. Now that he’s out of the equation, me, you and Montel can focus and strategize. Benjamin said MVP is not here and he’s disgusted with you.
Shelton pulled out the watch MJF gave him and told him he realized this is a cheap Temu, not a Rolex. We’ve been onto you the whole time and the only reason you didn’t get laid out was because MVP stuck his neck out for you. So with that in mind, you and your cheap ass watch can get the hell out of here before you end up in a pool of your own piss. As far as the Hurt Syndicate, you’re out.
Christian Cage disowns the Patriarchy
Christian Cage said I’m an asshole and I was obsessed with becoming the AEW Champion. At Revolution last spring, I was ready to fulfill my destiny. I hit a picture perfect spear, and as I got up and looked down at the canvas, I caught a glimpse of my past. For one second, I became an asshole with feelings and it cost me everything.
My own family questioned me and I didn’t realize Nick and Kip had the balls to stand up to me. I have no problem with that, but you haven’t earned the right to question me. The reason I didn’t stick to the plan was because I didn’t think the three of you were competent enough to pull it off so I took a risk. You rode my coat tails while I made enemies with the things I said and did.
As far as Adam Copeland goes, were the things I said really that bad? You can’t come out here and pretend you don’t understand the game within the game. You yourself were an opportunist who did unsavory things to get to the top. Get off your high horse and look at it through that lens because when you look at your bank account and your accomplishments on your wall, your head rests easily. You told me to find myself. Maybe I did and maybe I didn’t. We are so different, but somehow we are the same.
The Patriarchy embarrassed me at All In when they left me laying. They decided they didn’t need a patriarch anymore. I cared about Nick, but now I’ve disowned all of them.
As Christian walked up the ramp, Shayna came out and tried to slap him, but Christian stopped her. He turned around and stopped Kip from attacking him but Nick jumped him by hitting him with the title belt. Kip and Nick gave Christian a Con-Chair-To and Nick told him I’ve disowned you.
Backstage:
Stokely Hathaway said Adam Copeland is banned from the building tonight because of what Adam did last week. He said if FTR was 100% last week, they would have whooped The Hurt Syndicate’s ass. Hathaway said FTR will defeat Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn tomorrow on Collision. The Young Bucks appeared. FTR said the past is the past and we hope to see you in the finals.
AEW World Championship Match (Everyone Banned from Ringside): Hangman Adam Page (champion) vs. Jon Moxley
The ref got bumped while Page delivered the Dead Eye on Moxley. While security prevented Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta from interfering, Marina Shafir slid the title belt in the right to Moxley. Moxley hit Page in the head as Page was coming off the ropes to deliver the Buckshot Lariat. Moxley went for the cover. The referee recovered to make a two-count.
The referee saw Shafir at ringside and ordered her to leave. As security were escorting Claudio, Yuta and Shafir to the back, Darby Allin jumped off the balcony onto them. Moxley was distracted seeing Allin. As Moxley turned back around, Page hit him with the Buckshot Lariat. Moxley blocked the Dead Eye and got him in a choke. Moxley went for the pile driver, but Page blocked it and hit the Dead Eye. Page then hit him with the Buckshot Lariat and pinned him to retain the championship.
Winner: Adam Page
AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm & Alex Windsor vs. ROH Women’s World Champion Athena & Billie Starkz
Storm hit Starkz with a German Suplex and a Hip Attack, however, Athena was the legal person. Athena hit Storm with the O-Face and pinned her.
Winners: Athena and Billie Starkz
Backstage:
MJF tried to goad Adam Page into giving him a championship match by calling him a coward and saying that Swerve Strickland was a real champion. Page said you’re either going to have to earn it or cash in your contract. There is a line of men in front of you including Mark Briscoe. If you want a shot, you have to jump in front of Mark Briscoe and fight him.
Backstage:
Willow Nightingale said she went to Tony Khan and got a match with Thekla tomorrow on Collision.
Ricochet vs Mark Briscoe
GOA interfered. Brody King and Bandido came down and brawled with GOA to the back. Ricochet escaped the Jay Driller and hit him with an enzigiri. Briscoe came back with a lariat and a Jay Driller to win the match.
Winner: Mark Briscoe
After the match, Briscoe challenged MJF. He said I feel like I may never see my brother again. He’s in heaven and if I kill your ass in cold blood and I don’t repent because I don’t feel any remorse, I’m worried. He told MJF to get out here now. MJF appeared on the video wall. He told Mark it sounds like he dropped the comedy routine, but just because you sound serious doesn’t mean I have to take you seriously. I think you’re a waste of my time, but Page said I’m a coward to wrestle you. Now I have to prove a point. I spoke to Tony Khan and I will fight you next week in the main event if you make it.
The video was taped beforehand as Briscoe turned around and MJF kicked him in the balls. MJF proceeded to pound away at Briscoe. As he pulled out the Dynamite Diamond ring, Page came to the ring. MJF escaped the Buckshot Lariat. He turned around, escaped Briscoe’s Jay Driller and ran up the aisle to end the show.
