AEW Dynamite Results (March 18, 2026): Darby Allin Wins Coffin Match, Copeland And Cage Challenge FTR For Dynasty, Will Ospreay Returns

AEW Dynamite aired live on Wednesday night from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California, on TBS and HBO Max. The show served as the fallout episode from AEW Revolution, which took place on March 15. Excalibur, Bryan Danielson, and Tony Schiavone were on commentary.

The show opened with a video recap of the Revolution pay-per-view before Will Ospreay made his entrance for the opening match.

It was announced during the broadcast that Toni Storm was not medically cleared for her scheduled No Holds Barred match with Marina Shafir. Footage was shown from earlier in the day of Storm being found unresponsive in her locker room. Mina Shirakawa replaced Storm in the match.

Will Ospreay defeated Blake Christian

Christian rolled to the floor early to slow the pace. Ospreay responded with a loud chop after absorbing some strikes. The action spilled to the floor where both men exchanged splashes. Ospreay avoided a double stomp and landed a springboard forearm strike for a two count.

Christian landed a neckbreaker and a DDT, then stomped on Ospreay’s neck and applied a chin lock. Ospreay mounted a comeback with punches and an enziguiri, followed by a kick to the head and a release vertical suplex. He missed a standing moonsault, and Christian capitalized with a double stomp, a swinging DDT, and a 450 splash for a near fall. Christian then landed a springboard cutter for another near fall.

Christian set up for his own version of the Hidden Blade, but Ospreay countered with a back elbow and hit a Hidden Blade of his own for the win.

After the match, Ospreay got on the microphone and addressed Jon Moxley. He said the biggest difference between them is that he does not need a weapon to snap someone’s neck and can do it with his bare hands. Moxley’s music hit and he walked out with Wheeler Yuta. Ospreay charged at them and they brawled in the crowd near the ring. Ospreay bounced a trash bin off Moxley’s head, but Pac quickly intervened to protect Moxley and locked in the Brutalizer until officials separated them.

As officials cleared Ospreay from the ring, Ace Austin and Juice Robinson began making their entrance for the next match. Ospreay attacked Pac near the stage and they brawled to the back. Moxley and Yuta then attacked Robinson and Austin before they could get into the ring.

Robinson and Yuta started the match while Moxley and Austin continued fighting at ringside. Robinson got the early advantage, but Yuta made a quick tag to Moxley, who took over with heavy strikes, chops, and eye rakes. Robinson landed a snap suplex and tagged Ace Austin, who landed low kicks and a drop toe hold on Moxley. Yuta entered and took a Death Valley Driver. Austin sent Moxley to the floor and landed a Fosbury Flop, but Yuta quickly tossed him into the ring steps.

After the break, Moxley had Austin in a Texas Cloverleaf and transitioned into a Crossface. Yuta tagged in, and Austin scrambled for a tag to Robinson, who started a comeback and sent Moxley to the floor. Robinson landed a powerbomb on Yuta for a near fall. Austin tagged in for an aerial move, but Yuta avoided it and Moxley tagged back in. Yuta sent Robinson to the floor with a Busaiku Knee and dove on him. Moxley then hit a Death Rider on Austin for the win.

After the match, Moxley barked at Yuta about Will Ospreay, and they stormed off through the crowd.

Darby Allin vs. Gabe Kidd – Parking Lot Brawl into Unsanctioned Coffin Match

Gabe Kidd was shown in the parking lot as Darby Allin approached in a beat-up Lincoln Town Car. They traded strikes and Darby put a rag over Kidd’s face after pouring a substance on it. Darby then placed Kidd in the trunk of the car and intentionally drove onto a ramp that caused the car to roll over.

Darby crawled out of the overturned car, placed Kidd on top of an equipment crate, and began wheeling it into the arena. Darby eventually emerged through the entrance with Kidd on the crate and the bell rang.

Darby produced a straightjacket from the crate and put it on Kidd while slapping him around. He grabbed a skateboard, but Kidd kicked him low and tossed him into the ring steps. Kidd opened the coffin and slammed the door on Darby’s fingers.

After the break, Allin tightened the arms of the straightjacket and delivered a Scorpion Death Drop. Kidd kicked the ropes, causing Allin to land on his groin. Kidd used shoulder tackles to send Allin out near the coffin on the floor. Allin bit Kidd’s ear to escape, then grabbed his skateboard and slammed it into Kidd’s chest and back. Darby delivered a couple of Coffin Drops from the top rope, then dragged Kidd to the apron and tripped him to the floor. He used his body as a battering ram to send Kidd into the coffin, and the lid fell closed for the win.

After the match, Darby got on the microphone and said he would hold down the throttle until he sees God or the AEW World Championship. He told MJF he was coming for him.

Jack Perry and Luchasaurus Segment

They discussed setting a good example for their families by clawing their way back to the top. Nick Jackson said they would face RPG Vice and someone they used to call family in Kazuchika Okada. Luchasaurus called Okada a “b**ch.”

Swerve Strickland Promo

Prince Nana gave a lengthy introduction for Swerve Strickland in the ring. Swerve said he and Brody King went to war on Sunday, but the only winner was the one with the power. He said the power in AEW lies elsewhere and detailed how he had been running up against people with power his entire career.

Swerve said he had no idea he had the number one contendership for the AEW World Championship until Kenny Omega told him, and that it did not mean anything unless he had the power to protect it. Swerve said Kenny wanted his title shot but had no leverage. He then told Omega to put up his EVP status in exchange for the title shot. If Swerve wins, he becomes AEW’s new Executive Vice President.

MJF said it was his 30th birthday and “one hell of a way to celebrate.” He said he had accomplished more than most legends, that one of the only obstacles in his path was now off the board, and that he was on his way to “GOAT status.” He closed by saying he was going to Disney World.

Shafir dominated the early going with heavy strikes and an uranage. She screamed to the crowd that she did not need weapons and continued the assault.

After the break, Mina slapped Shafir and sent a champagne bottle flying and exploding. She grabbed a chair and drove Shafir face-first onto it with a La Mistica. She swung the chair over Shafir’s back, then delivered a top rope sling blade onto the chair for a near fall.

Shafir fought back by gouging Mina’s eyes and applying Mother’s Milk. Mina clawed at Shafir’s eyes to break the hold. Shafir set up a table at ringside and delivered a back suplex through the table. She dragged Mina into the ring and covered, but only got a two count. Mina fired back with a bottle strike to the jaw and delivered a Storm Zero for the win.

Post-Match: Copeland and Cage Challenge FTR for Dynasty

After the main event, The Bucks got on the microphone. Nick said the loss at Revolution on Sunday was bittersweet and that they had their kids wear special entrance gear only to watch them lose. Matt said he was so embarrassed he could not look at anyone at his birthday party afterward. Matt said their dad reminded them of who they are, and they would claw their way back to the top. He said there was not a team in the back that could stop them from winning the AEW Tag Team Championships for the fourth time.

Adam Copeland’s music hit and he made his way to the ring, followed by Christian Cage. Copeland told The Bucks they respected them and said they had no reason to hang their heads. He said he could not look his wife in the eyes over the last six months while they waited to determine if she needed spinal fusion surgery. Copeland said he had to come back and take care of business, and that means taking the AEW Tag Team Championships from FTR. Copeland announced that he and Christian Cage were challenging FTR at AEW Dynasty.

Christian said it was personal to the three of them, but personal to him because it allows him to make money. He said they would prove they were the greatest team of any generation.

FTR then walked out on the stage with Stokely Hathaway. Hathaway was immediately told to shut up, and he sent FTR to the ring.
