The March 18 episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 730,000 viewers on TBS, according to Programming Insider, making it the highest-rated Dynamite since the Grand Slam Mexico special on June 18, 2025, which drew 736,000 viewers. The episode posted a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic and ranked 15th on cable for the night.
The number represents an 18 percent increase from last week’s 619,000 viewers and a significant jump from the previous 2026 high of 692,000 viewers, which was set on February 18. The 0.13 demo rating is also the highest Dynamite has posted since that same February 18 episode. These figures do not include streaming viewership on Max.
The card featured Darby Allin defeating Gabe Kidd in a coffin match that saw Allin roll a car with Kidd locked in the trunk, Will Ospreay returning and brawling with Jon Moxley after defeating Blake Christian, Mina Shirakawa winning a no-holds-barred match after Toni Storm was found unresponsive in the locker room, and Swerve Strickland telling Kenny Omega to put up his EVP status in exchange for the number one contendership. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage also returned to Dynamite to challenge FTR for a tag title match at Dynasty, and the Young Bucks and Jack Perry defeated Kazuchika Okada and RPG Vice with the show ending with The Bucks and Cope/Cage both holding the tag titles.
Stiff Competition
Dynamite aired against the opening round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Three NCAA tournament games on truTV drew between 1.5 million and 2.8 million viewers. An NBA regular season game on ESPN drew 1.3 million viewers. Fox News primetime programming, including Jesse Watters Primetime (3.1 million), Gutfeld (3.1 million), and Hannity (2.9 million), dominated the cable landscape.
For Dynamite to post its best number in nine months against March Madness is a strong indicator that the audience is responding to the current creative direction.
