AEW Dynamite Spoilers From Glasgow: Wrestler Returns From Hiatus

All Elite Wrestling taped the August 20 episode of AEW Dynamite earlier today at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. The following are the full spoilers for tonight’s show.

Will Ospreay opened the show and explained that because he is not medically cleared, his 10-man tag team match at Forbidden Door will be an unsanctioned Lights Out Steel Cage match. He was confronted and attacked by Jon Moxley and the Death Riders before Hiroshi Tanahashi made the save.

Hiroshi Tanahashi & JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey) defeated The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, & Wheeler Yuta). The match was followed by a massive brawl involving the Bullet Club War Dogs and The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, & Katsuyori Shibata). Darby Allin also got involved, hitting a Coffin Drop from a balcony.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage had an in-ring promo. Nick Wayne appeared in a video to announce he has a broken foot and will not be at Forbidden Door. This led to the return of Luchasaurus, who attacked both Copeland and Cage.

MJF formed a new alliance with Ricochet and The Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona).

AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator Tournament Final: The match between FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) and Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) went to a 30-minute time-limit draw. It is expected that the championship match at Forbidden Door will now be a three-way tag team match.

In the final segment, AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page called out MJF. MJF appeared on the video screen with Mark Briscoe tied up, threatening to light him on fire. To save Briscoe, Page was forced to agree to new stipulations for their championship match at Forbidden Door: the championship can now change hands on a disqualification or a countout.

Athena & Mercedes Mone defeated Alex Windsor & “Timeless” Toni Storm.
