AEW Dynamite viewership on Thursday 8/27/20 increases, outside of top 10 on cable in key demo

The live viewership numbers for AEW Dynamite is in.

The show was up in total viewers but down in the 18-49 demographic.

Dynamite drew 813,000 live viewers, which is up from the 755,000 viewers the show previously drew on August 22nd. In the 18-49 demographic, the show did a 0.29, which is just a tick down from 0.31.

AEW officials should be happy with these numbers overall considering the show aired on a different night for the second straight week in addition to going up with the Republican National Convention.

As noted, TNT had to air this show on Thursday instead of its traditional Wednesday broadcast due to coverage of the NBA Playoffs although the games were canceled out of protest because of the shooting of Jacob Blake.

AEW ranked #11 among the top 150 shows on cable. Here is the demographic breakdown:

Viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.29
Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.19
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.39
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.19
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.14
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.25
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.33
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.30

Next week will be back to the norm as Dynamite as it will air on Wednesday, but won’t go head-to-head with NXT.
