We are live with ongoing coverage of AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming. They are formatting this show like a pay-per-view with the biggest main event in Dynamite history. Some would say it’s the biggest main event in company history.

Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal
Participants: MJF, Wardlow, Matt Hardy, Miro, Kip Sabian, John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Lee Johnson, Luther, Shawn Spears, Jungle Boy, Sammy Guevara, Hangman Page, Orange Cassidy, Scorpio Sky, Matt Sydal, Serpentico, Private Party, Joey Janela

Shawn Spears was eliminated early by Scorpio Sky. Spears loaded his glove and punched Sky and then Sky was eliminated. John Silver accidentally knocked Alex Reynolds out of the match and then Silver was eliminated by Hardy. Hangman Page was knocked out of the ring but Dark Order caught him and put him back in the ring but Hardy then eliminated Page. Sabian was eliminated by Cassidy but Sabian and Miro took a cheap shot on Cassidy before leaving the ringside area.

Miro went on a rampage and eliminated Lee Johnson, Matt Hardy, Marq Quen and Joey Janela as most of the wrestlers stood by to watch the destruction. MJF, Wardlow and Guevara triple-teamed Miro but he fought out of it and it was Miro and MJF facing off. Miro got the better of an exchange but then MJF and Guevara attacked and Wardlow took over on offense. It took 3 members of the Inner Circle to eliminate Miro. Jungle Boy was left against the three members of Inner Circle.

MJF shoved both Guevara and Jungle Boy off the top and then he realized that Orange Cassidy was outside of the ring and was never eliminated. Wardlow tried to toss Cassidy but he slipped out and shoved Wardlow into MJF. Cassidy hit the orange punch and eliminated Wardlow so it’s Cassidy vs. MJF next week for the diamond ring. Miro and Sabian tried to get in the ring to attack Cassidy and Best Friends but they were held back by the referees.

Chris Jericho vs. Frankie Kazarian

The match started with Jericho throwing his belt at Kazarian and that Karazarian fired up. Jericho hit a dropkick and moments later Kazarian hit a leg drop on Jericho on the apron. Jake Hager got involved and the distraction allowed Jericho to hit the codebreaker off the second rope.

There was a picture in picture commercial break as the action spilled to the outside of the ring. As they got back in the ring, they traded punches and Jericho hit a standing suplex as fans chanted Jericho’s name. Kazarian tried a backslide into a pin attempt but Jericho kicked out. He hit some offense but Jericho tried a lionsault that was countered by Karazian putting his knees up. Kaz hit the Flux Capacitor off the top rope into a pin attempt but Jericho kicked out.

Jericho tried for another codebreaker but Kaz countered into the Walls of Jericho. Ortiz got up on the ring apron and he was about to hit Kaz with the slapjack but he backed off. MJF ran out with a towel but Sammy Guevara took it away. Jericho broke free and won with the Judas Effect.

Guevara and MJF began to shove each other. Jericho grabbed the mic and told them to stop the “bullsh**” and they 7 days to figure things out or the Inner Circle will break up forever.

Backstage segment. The Young Bucks announced that they will face TH2 next week. Bowens and Castor (The Acclaimed) appeared with a rap. Then the Bucks were attacked by TH2. Daniels and Scorpio Sky made the save.

Dr. Britt Baker vs. Leyla Hirsch

Hirsch took down Baker in the opening seconds of the match but Baker turned things around with a kick to the face and a DDT as they went to a picture-in-picture commercial break.

After the break, Hirsch locked in a cross arm breaker but Baker transitioned into the lockjaw but Hirsch reversed back into the arm breaker. Baker slipped out but Hirsch caught her with a knee to the head. Rebel caused a distraction and that gave Baner time to recover. Baker hit a twisting neckbreaker and then she applied the lockjaw submission to win the match.

Thunder Rosa ran in to attack Baker. Referees ran in to break things up. Rebel got a cheap shot on Rosa, Hirsch suplexed Rebel and then Baker and Rosa fought again as more officials ran in.

TNT Champion Darby Allin and Cody Rhodes vs. Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs

They went to a commerical break just as the match was getting started. It was Rhodes and Starks wrestling as they came back from the break. Hobbs looked impressive when he tagged in to wrestle Allin. They were in the ring for several minutes. At one point, Hobbs ragdolled and sossed Allin into the corner. Allin kept trying to fight back but Hobbs kept overpowering him. Hobbs did an overhead throw by the ears, which may be a first.

Allin finally made the hot tag to Rhodes, who cleaned house on Hobbs and Starks. Cody hit a cutter on Starks as Darby tagged in to hit the Coffin Drop. Darby got the win. Hobbs took out Allin after the match but Arn got in the ring but that backfired. Dustin Rhodes ran in to save Arn but then Brian Cage ran in to take out Dustin. The lights went out as Hobbs was about to attack Cody.

STING appeared with a baseball bat in his hand. He walked up to stand face to face with Arn, Cody, and Darby.

AEW World Championship
Jon Moxley (Champion) vs. Kenny Omega

Don Callis was on commentary for this match at the request of Omega. The match started after a commercial break. World Title matches have a 60-minute time limit and the announcers said that TNT was giving them as much time as needed to stay with the match.

They fought around ringside and into the stands for several minutes and then they went to a picture-in-picture break. The pace began to pick up after the break with Omega hitting most of the offense. Mox finally was able to fight back with two release German suplexes.Mox also hit an exploder suplex into a pin attempt that Omega kicked out of. They went to another picture-in-picture commercial break as they traded forearm shots in the middle of the ring. The match felt like they were still in first gear about 15 minutes in.

After the break, things picked up with Omega doing a dive over the top onto Mox at ringside. Back in the ring, Mox surprised Omega with the Paradigm Shift but he didn’t go for the pin. Instead, he grabbed two chairs and brought them in the ring. The chairs were used for them to sit as Mox dared Omega to hit him. They traded hard palm slaps and punches while sitting on chairs and Omega hit Mox with the v-trigger and a snap dragon suplex. Omega followed up with another snap dragon suplex and a v-trigger attempt that Mox countered into a German suplex. Omega hit a v-trigger but Mox hit the lariat that turned Omega upside down. The match pace really picked up here. Mox hit a Paradigm Shift but Omega kicked out. Mox went for a dive through the ropes but Omega caught him with the v-trigger as Mox crashed to the outside of the ring.

Omega then hit a missile dropkick on Mox’s shoulder and a v-trigger to the back of the head into a Tiger Driver 98. Mox kicked out of the pin attempt. Omega hit several knees to the face but Mox caught the last one but Omega hit a running v-trigger. Omega went for the One Winged Angel but Mox slipped out and Omega countered into a drop kick and a ripcord v-trigger. Omega went for the OWA again but Mox broke free and then Omega caught him into a German suplex. Omega was setting up for the Phoenix splash but Mox got up and Omega fell to the outside and Mox hit the Paradigm Shift on the outside of the ring. Ref Paul Turner called for the doctor.

Referees and Don Callis ran down to ringside to check on Omega as the announcers pointed out that Omega hit the side of his head but Mox did not want the match to end so he forced Omega into the ring. Callis grabbed a mic and pleaded with the ref to acknowledge that Omega is hurt. Mox shoved Callis and Omega grabbed the mic and hit Mox with it. The mic shot busted Moxley open.

Mox hit several v-triggers and a knee to the back and another while Mox was in the corner. Omega followed with the One Winged Angel to win the title.

Omega and Callis quickly left the arena and wrestlers and staff were seen looking very upset by all of this. Callis said that Omega and Callis will tell everyone what just went down this Tuesday night on Impact Wrestling on AXS TV.
