New AEW Ring Name May Have Been Revealed In Trademark Filing

AEW has filed for two new trademarks.

On September 5, AEW filed for The Clone and El Clon. The trademarks are listed for entertainment purposes. Here is the description:

“Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer.”

It’s unclear who will use the term and whether they will be a ring name or nicknames.

AEW presents a three-hour block of Rampage and Collision tonight, which will go head-to-head with WWE SmackDown. On saturday night, they present the All Out pay-per-view event from the NOW Arena in Chicago, IL.

Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Page in an unsanctioned lights out match is expected to headline.
