AEW Full Gear Results: Ricochet Becomes Inaugural National Champion

Casino Gauntlet match to crown the first AEW National Champion took place at the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin started off the match. Ricochet was out at #3 and cut a promo to set up AOG to come out there and attack them. MVP even got attacked. Claudio Castagnol was in at #4 and hit Ricochet with an uppercut right away. Daniel Garcia followed him. Orange Cassidy was next out. The heels jumped on Orange including a spot where they hit a series of uppercuts before Kevin Knight came out. He mixed it up with Ricochet. Roderick Strong came out next and hit a series of moves to show off his strength. Mark Davis was out next. Mike Bailey followed. Mike and Knight mixed it up before Garcia hit Mike with a low blow. Matt Menard entered and went right after Garcia. Ricochet pinned Knight for the win.

Winner: Ricochet
