All Elite Wrestling’s first-ever event in Mexico, AEW Grand Slam: Mexico, has officially sold out just two days after tickets went on public sale, according to reports confirmed Monday. The special episode of AEW Dynamite is scheduled for Wednesday, June 18, 2025, and will take place at the historic Arena México in Mexico City, marking a significant debut for the promotion in the country.
Tickets became available on Saturday, April 26th, and were met with extremely high demand from fans. Wrestling ticket analysts noted that seats, particularly in the lower bowl sections, sold very rapidly despite reports of premium pricing compared to typical Arena México events. The complete sell-out of the roughly 16,500-capacity venue occurred even before any specific matches for the event have been announced by AEW.
The Grand Slam: Mexico show, held in partnership with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), represents a rare occasion for a major U.S.-based wrestling promotion to run the iconic Arena México. The event kicks off a significant week of international wrestling collaboration at the venue, which will also include shows featuring talent from CMLL, Ring of Honor (ROH), New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), and Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro). The quick sell-out underscores the strong fan interest in AEW’s expansion and its collaboration with CMLL.
