AEW has rescheduled all episodes of Dynamite through May 20th due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
The plan right now is for AEW to tape matches every Wednesday for the show with them wanting to run on a week-by-week basis from Jacksonville, Florida at Daily’s Place.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “there is another location they could move to and everything is up in the air.”
AEW taped additional content this past Wednesday and more programming to be taped next week.
Jacksonville’s largest coronavirus testing center will be in the parking lot of HIAA Field, about 100 yards from Daily’s Place. For now, the promotion can still air live from the venue.
The promotion has been working with the city of Jacksonville to use Daily’s Place for the closed-set taping. The only people around at the taping have been the talent, a few staff in the production truck and Tony Khan timing the show from the Gorilla position.
Last Wednesday’s show in Rochester was expected to have a strong crowd and this week’s show originally planned in Newark, NJ was going to do a $1 million live gate, which would’ve marked the second-ever $1 million in the U.S. from a promotion that wasn’t WWE.
