An update as to where AEW’s next pay-per-view event, Double or Nothing, will be taking place from has surfaced.
Dave Meltzer noted in an update on F4Wonline.com that the current plan is for the Double or Nothing pay-per-view to air from Jacksonville, Florida.
With AEW planning to air and tape episodes of Dynamite from Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida leading up to the show, it’s likely that Double or Nothing will take place from the venue as well.
AEW is in the same situation as WWE regarding the allowance to run shows in Florida. The Governor of the state recently ordered that sports leagues with national audiences are now essential businesses. This includes pro wrestling and MMA.
AEW was scheduled to hold their Double or Nothing pay-per-view event on May 23rd in Las Vegas, Nevada at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. However, with Las Vegas being on lockdown and the strip being closed, holding the event there is not possible.
AEW will be resuming TV tapings starting next month. For more on that, click here.
