AEW Has Filed For “King Of Harts” Trademark

AEW has filed a new trademark related to a moniker made famous by Owen Hart.

On October 1st, the company filed for the term “King Of Harts” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for merchandise and toy purposes. Last July, the promotion filed for the term under entertainment services.

Some fans may remember that the late pro wrestler used the moniker during his time in WWE. In recent years, AEW has been working with Owen’s widow, Martha Hart, and the King of Harts INC. Corporation to help support the Owen Hart Foundation.

Since 2022, AEW has held the men’s and women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament, where the winner is given the Owen Cup and awarded a World Championship match. This year, Bryan Danielson won the tournament by beating Hangman Page in the finals before beating Swerve Strickland for the title at All In.

Mariah May won the women’s tournament and beat Toni Storm at All In to win the Women’s Title.
