AEW officials have decided to make some changes to its COVID-19 testing procedures for anyone working their TV tapings in Jacksonville, Florida at Daily’s Place.
Wrestling Inc has a report that states the new protocols started at this Wednesday’s tapings. Now, those working the shows will get tested from their home in addition to getting tested on-site at tapings.
It was also noted that the medical staff has consulted with the NFL COVID response team in order to come up with updates regarding the testing process.
Before this, AEW would have people sent to an off-site facility the morning of tapings to have a blood prick test taken. Once passing the test, they are given a wrist band and taken to Daily’s Place.
This comes at an interesting time for the promotion as Lance Archer and Ben Carter have already confirmed that they tested positive for the virus.
It was reported Thursday morning that there have been multiple wrestlers who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the September 9th tapings. Hopefully, these changes made will prevent the spread of the illness.
