Deonna Purrazzo may be the next person to join AEW. Tony Khan stated during an appearance on the Strong Style YouTube show that he is talking with ROH Women's Champion Deonna Purrazzo, who is under contract with Impact Wrestling.

Purrazzo is slated to do a Champ-Champ Challenge where she will defend either the AAA Reina de Reinas or ROH Title against a mystery opponent at the Impact Multiverse Of Matches special next Friday. This will take place on the same night as the ROH Supercard of Honor PPV event during WrestleMania weekend.

"When Deonna won the Ring of Honor title, when they booked that match, I did not have an agreement in place to buy Ring of Honor yet and was not booking the matches," Khan said regarding Deonna. "With them having a show the night of our pay-per-view, I don't know how it's going to work out. Scott [D'Amore] and I are still talking about that because I completely respect their position that they have an event that night too."

Khan said that he would love to have Purrazzo defend the title at the event, but he wouldn’t want to put her in a tough position of wrestling twice in a span of a few hours although he didn’t shut the door on the idea as he’s still talking with D'Amore.

Purrazzo returned to Impact in 2020 after she departed from WWE. Deonna has stated in the past that she was interested in working for AEW before going to Impact.
