AEW Is Now Using A Legendary Song By The Pointer Sisters As The New Dynamite Theme (WATCH HERE)

AEW Dynamite has kicked off 2025 with a brand new theme song and a few other notable changes.

“I’m So Excited” by the Pointer Sisters is now the official anthem for AEW’s flagship show. This classic 80s pop hit replaces Mikey Rukus’ “Pop” as the show’s intro music. The change comes as Dynamite enters a new era, simulcasting on both TBS and Max.

The updated opening montage features a mix of classic AEW moments and newer clips, including appearances by Big Boom AJ and Big Justice, Shaquille O’Neal, and Snoop Dogg.

This isn’t the first time AEW has used licensed music. Tony Khan has incorporated popular songs into the company’s programming before, with examples like:

  • “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour: Used by CM Punk.
  • “Where’s My Mind?” by The Pixies: Used by Orange Cassidy.
  • “The Chairman’s Intent” by Action Bronson: Used by Hook.
  • “Tarzan Boy” by Baltimora: Used by Jungle Boy.
  • “Loaded” by Zack Tempest: Used by The Hardy Boyz.
  • “Wild Thing” by X: Used by Jon Moxley.
  • “Jane” by Jefferson Starship: Used by Adam Cole.
  • “Ruby Soho” by Rancid: Used by Ruby Soho.
  • “Carry On Wayward Son” by Kansas: Used for special events.

In other music news, Elton John’s “Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)” will return as the theme song for AEW Collision starting this Saturday.
