During Sunday’s AEW Revolution, the promotion announced a few matches for this week’s episode of Dynamite.
One of those bouts was a six-woman tag team match pitting Britt Baker, Maki Itoh, and Rebel against Thunder Rosa, Hikaru Shida, and Ryo Mizunami. This afternoon, the promotion confirmed that Rebel was out of the match as she delivered another “doctor’s note” saying she can’t compete.
This storyline started on Sunday as Rebel was supposed to team up with Britt Baker to take on Thunder Rosa and Riho in the pre-show match at Revolution. However, AEW did the same injury angle and Rebel was pulled from the match and replaced by Maki Itoh. The heels went over. Later in the show, after Shida retained the Women’s Title over Ryo, Rose came out to attack the wrestlers only for Rosa to make the save for them.
Per Dr. Britt Baker’s colleague, Reba’s still too hurt to wrestle this week, so GM @TonyKhan has allowed the DMD to bring a new partner! @NylaRoseBeast teams with Britt + @maki_itoh vs. @shidahikaru + @mizunami0324 + @thunderrosa22 on Wednesday LIVE on #AEWDynamite at 8pm on TNT! pic.twitter.com/FedgYx2t4O
