AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Athena took place at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event from The O2 Arena in London, England.
Athena took the fight to Toni Storm and beat her down. Athena was started to get cocky in the match with taunting and taking her time. Athena missed a dive and Storm hit a powerbomb for 2. Storm fought back but ate a head kick then a forearm shot for 2. Athena with a powerbomb for 2 before locking in a head/arm submission. Outside of the ring, Storm caught her with a big boot then went and targeted the neck of Athena. Mina made the save to run off Billie Starkz, who had attacked Storm. Storm with the chicken wing and Athena tapped.
