AEW is reportedly planning to return to a fan-favorite venue later this year. According to WrestleVotes, the company is planning to run shows from the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom at the Manhattan Center in New York City this December.
This would be a repeat of their successful run of holiday-season shows at the venue in 2024, which included special episodes of Dynamite, Collision, and Rampage. Speaking during a Q&A session, WrestleVotes reported that the plan is for AEW to return for another block of television tapings.
“I can give you breaking news here. I’ve learned through sources that they’re going to return to the Manhattan Center, the Hammerstein Ballroom once again this December like they did last year, to rave reviews,” the report stated. “So New York City around the holidays — AEW will be back in the Hammerstein Ballroom for a few episodes of their TV.”
Last year’s shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom were considered a success both in terms of ticket sales and the unique atmosphere the venue provided. The report aligns with previous comments from AEW President Tony Khan, who has stated he is open to holding future events at the famous ballroom.
