FTR was slated to take on Brock Anderson and Lee Johnson in a tag team match on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, but it was nixed from the event.
Dave Meltzer noted on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that the match didn’t take place due to “medical protocols.” As of this writing, it’s unclear whether it was because of COVID-19. What is known is Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood are said to be fine.
The former AEW Tag Team Champions were last seen in action on the January 5th edition of AEW Dark: Elevation when they beat Myles Hawkins and Pat Brink in a squash match.
AEW has yet to announce anything involving the two tag teams for next week’s Dynamite, but the match is likely to be re-booked on a future episode of Dynamite or even Rampage.
