AEW taped the 9/10/21 episode of Rampage after this week’s live AEW Dynamite broadcast in Cincinnati.
– In the opener, Andrade El Idolo defeated PAC in an excellent match. After the match, Andrade turned on Chavo Guerrero. They have been subtly teasing this in the last couple of weeks. This past Sunday, Andrade questioned Guerrero about PAC’s flight being canceled. It looks like this could be the opening for Ric Flair to come in and manage Andrade.
– Sting and Darby Allin addressed Tully Blanchard’s comments from Dynamite. Sting namedropped Ric Flair. Tully Blanchard walked out with a mic on the stage. Tully’s distraction allowed Shawn Spears to trip Darby and pull him out to ringside to attack him. Sting realized what was happening and chased Spears away.
– Ruby Soho, Kris Statlander, and Riho defeated Dr. Britt Baker, DMD, Rebel and Jamie Hayter with Soho pinned Rebel
– Brian Pillman, Jr. pinned Max Caster
After the taping, Anthony Bowens attacked Pillman but Jon Moxley ran out to make the save. Moxley and Pillman drank some beer and they sang Skyline Chili to send the fans home happy.
