More numbers continue to come in regarding the PPV buyrate for this year’s AEW Revolution as the early estimate showed it did between 146,000-170,000 PPV buys. These numbers were from Bleacher Report and FITE.
Dave Meltzer reported on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that the show now looks to do between 165,000-170,000 buys, which is 14% higher than the early estimate.
“Real big late buys, so the number that we talked about last week, it’s probably very low compared to what the real number’s going to be. What I have seen of the systems that I have actual numbers for is that it’s up 14% from the last time I talked about it, which is pretty big up. That’s as of the weekend. They also plugged it on both Wednesday and Friday’s show. They plugged the replay. So, easily #2 now. Before there was like, ‘It’s probably number two, but not necessarily.’ Number two and probably minimum I would say 165ish,m probably 165 – 170, in that range.”
Last year’s Revolution show did 135,000 buys. AEW’s biggest PPV event did over 200,000 buys, which was last year’s All Out show.
