Nyla Rose put up her AEW Women’s World Championship against Kris Statalander at the Revolution in pay-per-view in Chicago.
Excalibur noted that Statlander has been dealing with the flu over the last few days and she has just started to recover from the illness. There were times in the match where it seemed like Statlander was off so she may have been still dealing with the flu.
It took a while for them to get the crowd involved but this ended up being a pretty decent match. Late in the match, Statlander hit a suplex that was almost botched and could have been bad if they landed wrong. The suplex ended up looking like an avalanche brainbuster. Statlander tried a hurricanrana off the top but Nyla turned it into a beast bomb and then she pinned Statlander to retain the title.
