Swerve Strickland vs. Ricochet in an AEW World Title Number One Contender’s Match took place at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view event from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Strickland was beating down Ricochet at ringside and Prince Nana was trying to tell Strickland to get it into the ring when Strickland pushed down Nana. Back in the ring, Ricochet hit a spring board clothesline then a moonsault. Nana walked ot the back. Ricochet went to the top rope, but Swerve stopped him. Ricochet went for a spring board dragonronna and hit it. Swerve rolled through and hit some powerbombs for 2. They went to the floor and hit a driver on the announce table. Ricochet with the 630 senton for 2. Prince Nana ran out and grabbed the robe of Ricochet. This allowed Swerve to roll him up for 2. Ricochet took out Nana and grabbed his robe. Swerve went for a dive, but Ricochet drove him down to the ground. Ricochet with the vertigo for 2. Nana tried to take the robe away from him and it allowed Swerve to roll him up for 2. Ricochet splashed Swerve into Nana. Swerve with a head kick then the running kick for 2. Swerve with the big pressure for the win.

Winner: Swerve Strickland
