AEW TNT Champion Samoa Joe vs. Wardlow was booked at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view event.
Wardlow brought the fight to Joe right out of the gate and got the upperhand. The crowd was quiet for most of it due to the previous Texas Death Match that had taken place. Wardlow fought back and hit a dive off the top rope for 2. Joe locked in the rear-naked choke, but Wardlow got to the bottom rope. Wardlow with a powerbomb off the middle rope for 2, but Joe fired right back with a clothesline. Wardlow put him in a rear-naked choke for the win.
Winner: Wardlow
