AEW secures Owen Hart footage for tribute video, Martha Hart will present Owen Cup to Men’s and Women’s tournament winners

On today’s Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan said that the Owen Hart Cup will feature a Men’s winner and a Women’s winner so there will be two singles tournaments. Khan said that the when and where will be talked about tonight on AEW Rampage with further details on Dynamite.

Khan said that there’s a powerful video that will air next Wednesday and it will include footage of Owen from New Japan Pro Wrestling and Mark Henry will be a part of it. Khan said that this tournament will share the legacy of Owen Hart to the newer wrestling fans.

Henry talked about what Owen meant to him and it was Owen who talked to him about how to deal with the locker room. “He knew how to disarm you if you were angry,” Henry said.

Khan said that Martha Hart will present the Owen Cup to the Men’s and Women’s winners and he feels that they’ve put together something “very special” with testimonials from wrestlers. Khan thanked New Japan Pro Wrestling and Rocky Romero for allowing them to use their footage of Owen.
