AEW star attempts to gain trademark rights to ring name

Trent Beretta is following in the footsteps of Miro, formerly known as Rusev in WWE, as he is trying to gain the trademark rights to his ring name.

Miro did it last month and so did Trent, who filed a new trademark to secure his in-ring name on September 30th.

The filing was made with the United States Trademark and Patent Office via Michael Dockins of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP.

The trademark filed by the AEW star was under entertainment services, more specifically for pro wrestling. Here is the description:

“International Class 041: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”
