AEW Star Becomes Free Agent

An AEW star and the promotion have opted to part ways.

EJ Nduka is now officially a free agent. According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp at Fightful Select, Nduka’s contract with AEW recently expired.

Nduka was previously under a developmental contract with WWE, performing on the NXT brand. After his WWE release, he worked for Major League Wrestling (MLW) for over a year before signing with All Elite Wrestling.

Nduka initially signed with AEW in early 2023 but saw limited action on AEW’s primary television shows. He eventually became a regular fixture on the ROH brand, which AEW President Tony Khan owns. During his ROH tenure, Nduka formed a tag team with Lee Johnson, known collectively as “LeeJ.”

With his AEW agreement now concluded, the athletic powerhouse enters the free agent market, available for bookings with promotions across the wrestling landscape.
