AEW Star Dealing With A Possible Injury

Queen Aminata is currently dealing with a possible knee injury. The wrestler revealed the situation on her latest personal vlog posted to her YouTube channel. The injury appears to have occurred last week during AEW’s television tapings, and Aminata provided several updates on her condition throughout the video, though she did not offer a formal diagnosis or a timeline for a potential recovery.

How the Injury Occurred

The portion of the vlog detailing the injury was shot last Wednesday in Jacksonville, Florida, where AEW was taping an episode of Collision. While filming herself backstage, Aminata stated that she was rolling around in the ring earlier and, “I hurt my knee a little.”

As she was speaking, she was visibly limping. She also mentioned that she was scheduled to film a pre-taped segment, but the segment did not end up making it to air on the broadcast. No footage of the specific moment the injury happened was included in the vlog.

Aminata’s Condition

Throughout the video, Aminata noted the increasing discomfort in her knee. While heading to the airport at 4 AM Eastern time after the show had concluded, she gave an update on her condition. “I’m so tired,” she said. “My knee is so friggin’ sore.” After she arrived home from her travels, she once again commented on the injury, stating that “my knee is super sore and swollen.” At no point during the video was the 29-year-old seen wearing a brace or any other visible support on the injured knee.

The injury comes at a time when Aminata has not been in the ring for several weeks. Her most recent match took place on the pre-show for the AEW All Out event on September 20, where she competed in the Tailgate Brawl. We wish her a speedy recovery.
