AEW Star Expected Back “Somewhat Soon” From Injury

A new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided an update on the status of injured AEW star, Orange Cassidy. According to the report, the former AEW International Champion is expected to return to the ring “somewhat soon.”

Orange Cassidy’s Impending AEW Return

In the latest newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Cassidy is nearing a return from the torn pectoral muscle that has kept him on the sidelines for several months. This confirms a previous report from Fightful Select, which stated that Cassidy had been medically cleared and would be back “sooner than later.”

A Welcome Return To The AEW Roster

“Freshly Squeezed” has been out of action since March of this year, when he suffered a torn pec, an injury that required surgery. His return will be a welcome one for the AEW roster, which has recently been hit with injuries to other top stars like Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland, who are both set to miss considerable time.

His return comes as AEW is building towards its All Out pay-per-view on September 20. The full report can be found in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
