AEW originally planned for Thunder Rosa to defend the AEW Women’s Title against Toni Storm at All Out, but she had to pull out of it due to a back injury.
Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, and Storm competed in a four-way to determine an interim AEW Women’s World Champion at Sunday’s All Out pay-per-view event, with Storm coming out on top.
Rosa recently detailed on an episode of Busted Open Radio the pain from the back injury by noting that she will likely be out for a couple of months and can’t feel her legs.
While speaking with the media at the post-All Out media scrum, Storm indicated that Rosa may not be injured.
“I mean, it’s not ideal, but Thunder Rosa says she’s injured. Okay, so when she says she’s not injured, she can come back and lose to me, and that will be the end of that.”
This would back up what Konnan recently stated as he revealed out how she privately told him that she had a torn ACL but is claiming publicly that she has a back injury. He thinks AEW is punishing Rosa. Click below to see Storm’s comments:
