Queen Aminata Injured, Pulled From AEW Dynamite; Status for Blood & Guts in Doubt
AEW star Queen Aminata is injured and will be unable to compete on the November 5th episode of AEW Dynamite.
AEW President Tony Khan confirmed the news on social media. Aminata was originally scheduled to face Megan Bayne in a critical Blood & Guts advantage match.
With Aminata not medically cleared for tonight’s show, Mina Shirakawa will step in to take her place. Shirakawa will now face Megan Bayne for the advantage in the upcoming cage match.
The injury may have larger ramifications for next week’s big event. In his announcement, Khan noted that doctors are “skeptical” that Queen Aminata will be cleared to compete in the women’s Blood & Guts match, which is just one week away.
Khan’s post also “implied” that Shirakawa is being positioned as more than just a one-night substitute, suggesting she would likely be taking Aminata’s place in the Blood & Guts match as well.
