Alex Reynolds had a scary moment during Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
The main event of the show saw Reynolds team up with John Silver against The Young Bucks, The Butcher & The Blade, and Private Party in the four-way tag team main event.
Private Party hit a splash/leg drop combo spot off the top rope to him, which knocked him out. Reynolds laid unconscious in the ring for several minutes while the other wrestlers did various spots. The Blade had dragged Reynolds to the corner and tagged himself in.
While Reynolds finally got his head together and attempted to do spots, he was clearly out of it. Reynolds was reportedly “okay” backstage. He was also checked on by a doctor at ringside.
Reynolds took to Twitter to issue the following on his condition:
“Hey guys, just wanted to thank you for all the concerns for my health. It means the world to me. I truly believe the ref and our doctor handled the situation great on Wednesday’s show. Injuries happen in wrestling, but I feel completely safe with our team here. Thanks again and I’m looking forward to seeing you soon.”
Thank you to everyone who reached out to check on me. I really appreciate it. pic.twitter.com/uuM87KhiQF
