AEW Star To Miss Rest Of 2025 Due To Injury

AEW President Tony Khan has provided an unfortunate update on the status of “Switchblade” Jay White, confirming that the Bang Bang Gang leader is expected to be out of action “for a long time.” White has been on the shelf since suffering a hand injury in April.

Jay White To Be Out “For A Long Time”

Appearing on the My Mom’s Basement podcast, Tony Khan was asked about White’s status. He confirmed that the injury is serious and will require a significant recovery period.

“Jay White is one of the best wrestlers in the world and got injured along the way,” Khan said. “He is out, and unfortunately, is going to be out for a long time.”

Another Injury For The Bang Bang Gang

Khan’s comments align with a recent Fightful Select report which suggested that White could potentially miss the remainder of 2025. His hand injury was attributed to an attack by the Death Riders on AEW television.

White’s extended absence is another major blow to his Bang Bang Gang faction, which injuries have plagued. Juice Robinson only recently returned after a seven-month hiatus, just as Colten Gunn was sidelined with a knee injury.

The update on Jay White confirms he will be on the shelf for the foreseeable future. His faction mates, Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn, are now representing the Bang Bang Gang in the ongoing AEW World Tag Team Championship eliminator tournament. The full interview with Tony Khan can be heard on the My Mom’s Basement podcast.
