Cash Wheeler was absent from tonight’s historic AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam Mexico event. His tag team partner, Dax Harwood, and their manager, Stokely Hathaway, appeared for their scheduled 12-man tag team match without him.
As Harwood and Hathaway made their entrance, Hathaway addressed the live crowd at Arena México. He gave a brief and cryptic explanation for Wheeler’s absence from the major show.
Stokely Hathaway stated that Cash Wheeler missed the event for “reasons that were out of his control.” No further details or elaboration on the reason for his absence were provided.
FTR is one of AEW’s most decorated tag teams and Wheeler’s unexplained absence from such a significant international show has created concern among fans. Harwood went on to compete in the multi-man tag team match without his partner by his side.
At this time, no other information has been made available regarding Wheeler’s status or when he is expected to return to AEW television.
