AEW Star Reportedly Sidelined With An Injury

A new report has revealed that former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa is currently on the sidelines with an injury. The news comes just weeks after her participation in a major pay-per-view match.

Thunder Rosa Reportedly Dealing With An Injury

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Thunder Rosa is currently dealing with an undisclosed injury. Further details, such as the nature of the injury or a potential timetable for her return to the ring, have not yet been revealed.

A History Of Battling Back

This is not the first significant injury setback Thunder Rosa has faced during her time in AEW. She was previously on hiatus from late 2022 to late 2023 with a serious back injury, a situation that ultimately forced her to relinquish the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Thunder Rosa’s last on-screen appearance was at the AEW All In: Texas pay-per-view on July 12, where she competed in the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match. It was during that same match that Mina Shirakawa reportedly suffered a broken hand after delivering a spinning backfist to Rosa.

It is unclear if this new reported injury to Thunder Rosa is related to that incident. We wish her a speedy recovery.
