AEW Star Reveals Extent Of Injury: ‘My Ankle Feels Like Sh*t’

AEW star Jack Perry has provided a blunt update on his physical condition following his victory on Saturday’s AEW Collision: Holiday Bash. The “Scapegoat” entered the match nursing an ankle injury reportedly sustained during a suicide dive against Kazuchika Okada the previous week.

Despite the injury, Perry managed to defeat “Speedball” Mike Bailey to secure his first points in the Continental Classic Gold League. Speaking after the match, Perry did not mince words about the pain he was experiencing.

“My ankle feels like sh*t, my mouth tastes like Speedball’s toes,” Perry said. “But all in all, I’m pretty damn happy because I am finally on the board in the Continental Classic.”

The victory puts Perry at 3 points in the tournament, keeping his hopes of advancing alive. He acknowledged the difficult road ahead, which includes matches against two of the hardest hitters in the company, but remained confident in his ability to shock the world.

“That was three points right there, I got two more matches: PAC and Kyle Fletcher, and these guys are animals, but one way or another, I think I might just find a way to take this whole thing home,” Perry declared.

It’s been reported that Perry is said to be fine and this injury scare appears to be now a working storyline. With the finals set for Worlds End on December 27 in Orlando, Perry will need to win out and hope for favorable results elsewhere to make the cut. His next test against PAC will be crucial in determining whether his ankle can hold up under the pressure of the tournament’s grueling schedule.
