AEW has inked a contract extension with Scorpio Sky, who was one of the first wrestlers to sign with the promotion back in 2019.
During the All Out Buy-In pre-show, it was mentioned that Sky had signed a new deal with the promotion when he was shown in the crowd with Ethan Page, Dan Lambert, Jorge Masvidal, Junior Dos Santos, and Andrei Arlovski. At the time, it wasn’t clear whether that was actually the case or just a storyline.
Sky did an interview with Mike Johnson of Pwinsider.com where he discussed a wide range of topics and during it, he was asked about his contract status.
Sky said, “I did that right around the time of the Pay-Per-View. I’m happy to be with AEW for at least five more years.”
Before joining AEW, he worked for various promotions such as WWE (2012–2013), TNA (2012–2013), ROH (2010, 2017–2018), and NJPW (2018–2019).
The early days of his career with AEW saw him be a member of SoCal Uncensored alongside Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian. Sky later turned on Daniels and Kazarian before being paired with Ethan Page where they formed The Men of the Year team.
