A notable AEW star had to decide whether they wanted to stay or leave the promotion.
That star was Saraya, who joined AEW in 2022 after she spent several years retired due to spinal stenosis and not being medically cleared. Saraya won the Women’s Title at All In 2023, only to hold it for a few weeks.
Fightful previously reported that her deal with AEW was extended until at least September, and there were option years. The nature of the option years had been debated internally, as sources on each side claimed to have held the rights.
Fightful Select reported on Thursday that Saraya has re-signed. It’s a one-year deal with her new contract slated to go through September 2025. At Saturday’s Grand Slam edition of Collision, Saraya battles Jamie Hayter in a Saraya’s Rules match.
