AEW Star Spotted Near WWE HQ During Worlds End PPV

While the AEW roster prepared for the Worlds End pay-per-view on Saturday night, one of the company’s top stars was spotted significantly closer to the competition’s headquarters, sparking a wave of online speculation.

As first reported by insider account @WrestleVotes, Christian Cage was not on location for the AEW event. Instead, the “Patriarch” was photographed taking in an AHL hockey game in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

The sighting immediately fueled rumors due to the location’s geography. @TCwrestlevotes, quote-tweeted the report, noting that the arena in Bridgeport is merely a “30 minute drive from 707 Washington Blvd, Stamford CT”—the address of WWE’s new global headquarters. The post included the hashtag #RumbleSzn, a reference to the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble event, implying that Cage’s proximity to WWE offices during “Rumble Season” could suggest a potential defection.

The speculation comes at a time when Cage has been noticeably absent from AEW television for an extended period. His lack of screen time, combined with his absence from a major pay-per-view, naturally leads fans to question his status with the company.

However, despite the convenient geography and timing, a return to WWE appears contractually impossible for the foreseeable future.

During an appearance on the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast in 2024, the former World Heavyweight Champion explicitly stated that he had signed a new deal and believed he had “three years left” on his contract at that time.

Based on that timeline, Cage is likely under contract with All Elite Wrestling until at least 2027. So unless he was working when he said what he said to CVV, don’t expect Christian Cage to go anywhere any time soon.
