AEW Star Spotted On A Crutch Following Grand Slam: Australia

Buddy Matthews may be dealing with an injury from AEW Grand Slam: Australia.

The Saturday event saw an AEW Continental Championship bout between Matthews and Kazuchika Okada. During his entrance, Matthews appeared to hurt his ankle. Despite the scare, the match still went on as planned.

Okada went over to retain his title. After the show, Matthews got fans talking n a now-deleted tweet that he wouldn’t have “destroyed his ankle” if he didn’t have to work in AEW’s small ring. He then shared a photo of a troll that indicated sarcasm.

In a post on social media, Rhea Ripley shared photos of the couple while on their honeymoon, and in one of the photos, Matthews is seen using one crutch. In the other photos, Matthews does not have it.

Ripley did caption the post, which alludes to Matthews rolling his ankle, “Ain’t no Roly-Poly ankles gonna keep us down! Let the honeymoon commence!”

We wish him a speedy recovery.
