AEW star suffers injury at independent event

Fenix worked a tag team match by partnering up with Pentagon Jr. against Juventud Guerrera and Teddy Hart at Friday’s Big Time Wrestling in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

During this match, Fenix superkicked Hart then picked up Guerrera but collapsed on the mat and grabbed his leg. He called for help, which led to him being assisted to the backstage area.

The match was then ended quickly as Guerrera pinned Pentagon. Dave Melter noted in the Daily Update on F4Wonline.com that Fenix didn’t break his leg and able to “weakly” walk around afterward. He apparently was hopeful it was just a sprain.

Fenix is still hopeful to be able to compete against The Young Bucks at AEW All Out in the upcoming ladder match.

The All Out pay-per-view event takes place on Saturday, August 31st at the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL
