AEW star will become a free agent next month

Former WWE and current AEW star Lio Rush announced on social media that the will be a free agent next month.

Rush said his AEW contract will expire on February 14, 2022 and anyone looking to book him can email LioRushNOw@gmial.com.

There had been questions about Rush’s status with AEW in recent weeks because he hasn’t been seen on Dynamite, Rampage or any of the YouTube shows in recent weeks and it appears his storyline with Dante Martin has been dropped.

Rush recently lashed out and demanded an apology from Tony Khan over the situation with Big Swole. Rush later said that things were smoothed over. It’s unclear if that had something to do with his exit or if there are other issues at play. Rush has also been under a deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Rush is scheduled to compete in the Brass Ring Ladder Match this Sunday at the Hammerstein Ballroom for The WRLD on GCW on pay-per-view.
