AEW star won’t need to get surgery after suffering recent injury

Trent has been sidelined with an injury, but the good news is that he won’t have to undergo surgery to fix it.

His last match came back on the December 12th edition of AEW Dynamite where he worked a 12-man tag team bout. Trent, Chuckie T, and Orange Cassidy have been feuding with Miro and Sabian on television.

Back on December 24th, he took to his official Twitter account to note that he has a partially-torn pectoral muscle and will be out for months.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “Trent will be out of action four to five months with the partially torn pec muscle. He is not going to need surgery.”

With Trent being on the sidelines, All Elite Wrestling is continuing the feud as Taylor, his tag team partner, was challenged by Miro to a match on AEW New Year’s Smash Night Two. This will air on next week’s episode of Dynamite. The stipulation with the contest calls for the loser of the bout having to act as the “young boy” to the winner until Penelope Ford and Kip Sabian get married.

The wedding ceremony will take place on the “Beach Break” episode of AEW Dynamite on February 3rd.
