AEW Tag Team Has Returned After Being Sidelined For Over A Year

The Workhorsemen (Anthony Henry and JD Drake) surprised AEW television viewers with their surprise return on the Dynamite: Summer Blockbuster special. After being away for over a year due to injury, they confronted Big Bill and Bryan Keith.

Both members of the popular tag team have been sidelined with significant injuries. Their return to action marks the end of a long and challenging road to recovery for the duo.

The Workhorsemen last competed for AEW on the June 1, 2024, episode of Collision. Shortly after, Anthony Henry suffered a broken jaw that required surgery. JD Drake also went on the shelf with an injury that required him to undergo a surgical procedure.

A few weeks ago, Anthony Henry took to social media to announce that both he and JD Drake had finally been cleared to return to the ring, signaling that their comeback was imminent.

On the Summer Blockbuster special, Big Bill and Bryan Keith were being interviewed backstage when the returning Workhorsemen confronted them.
