AEW Talent Confirms Exit From Promotion

Alex Abrahantes is speaking out following his AEW departure. On social media, Abrahantes thanked both AEW and Tony Khan for letting him live his dream for the last six years. It was reported on Monday that his contract with AEW wasn’t renewed.

“For over six years, I have been able to live my dream. And I am so grateful for AEW, I’m so grateful that Tony gave me the opportunity to do so, and I didn’t want to step away without saying thank you,” he said.

He also gave a message to others who hope to fulfill their own dreams someday: don’t let other people’s criticisms get in your way. “When I was younger, I made a vow that someday I’d make it and share this same exact message with you that if you work hard, believe in yourself, and don’t take the criticisms of others and don’t let what other people believe or think about you hold you down and kill your dreams,” he said. “I can tell you from experience, reaching your dream is 100% worth it. There’s gonna be ups, there’s gonna be downs, but as long as you believe in yourself, as long as you work hard, as long as you’re a good person, and as long as you never give up, you’re going to see those dreams come true and trust me, it’s totally worth it.”

Abrahantes joined AEW in 2019 as a Spanish-language announcer. In 2021, his role with the company expanded as he became the manager for the Lucha Brothers. When they left AEW, Abrahantes continued as a manager for Komander as well as CMLL talent, including Mistico and Mascara Dorada.
