Fans and wrestlers are still processing the news of Bray Wyatt’s passing. This unexpected loss happened less than a week ago as the former WWE Champion lost his life due to a heart attack.
As previously reported, Wyatt had suffered a “series of heart complications” during the last few months of his life, leading to his doctor recommending a heart defibrillator. However, it was not with him when his body was found last week when his fiance JoJo Offerman found him at their home as his alarm went off and he didn’t get up. She checked on him, and he was in the bed, not breathing while turning blue.
JoJo’s mother attempted CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The TMZ report noted he had a “weak lower part of his heart,” was hospitalized just a week before his death, and was slated for a follow-up appointment on the day he died.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reports that AEW President Tony Khan is granting AEW employees the option to miss the next two Dynamite events so they can attend memorial services for Rotunda.
There may be some absences on AEW Dynamite either this week or next week — whenever they are. Tony Khan offered the show off to anyone who wanted to attend Bray Wyatt's services.
