AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné has added another championship to her collection, and in doing so, has tied a long-standing record in professional wrestling. Today in Denmark, Moné defeated Aliss Ink to win the Bodyslam Women’s Championship, her tenth concurrently held title from promotions around the world.
With this victory, Moné has tied the record for the most championships held simultaneously, a record famously set by Último Dragón in the 1990s. At his peak, Dragón held ten titles at once, including the eight championships that comprised the J-Crown. Moné has been on a world tour since her return to wrestling, collecting championships from various promotions across the globe. This latest win in Denmark officially brings her total to ten, putting her in rarified air.
This accomplishment is a key part of her on-screen persona in AEW, where she is presented as “The CEO” and the greatest women’s wrestler of all time. The visual of her holding ten championship belts from different promotions reinforces this character and her claim as a dominant, globetrotting force in the industry.
Since leaving WWE in 2022, Moné has had a decorated run in multiple promotions. She made her debut for New Japan Pro-Wrestling at Wrestle Kingdom 17 in January 2023, where she went on to win the IWGP Women’s Championship. A subsequent injury sidelined her for a period, but she returned to capture the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship.
She made her official AEW debut in March 2024 at the “Big Business” episode of Dynamite. In her first match for the company at Double or Nothing in May, she defeated Willow Nightingale to win the AEW TBS Championship. She has since remained undefeated in singles competition in AEW, successfully defending her title against numerous challengers.
In addition to her AEW and NJPW success, Moné has competed for and won championships in several other promotions, including Mexico’s CMLL, where she holds the CMLL World Women’s Championship, and the UK’s Revolution Pro Wrestling, where she is the Undisputed British Women’s Champion.
Her current list of championships includes titles from the United States, Mexico, England, Austria, Poland, Italy, Scotland, and now Denmark. The ten championships she currently holds are:
