AEW is set to make an official announcement this Wednesday regarding a partnership with the NFL. AEW posted a graphic on social media today teasing that a formal announcement will be made on April 15 about the two organizations working together on an officially licensed merchandise product.
The product in question is expected to be the NFL-themed lucha masks that Tony Khan first unveiled at Super Bowl Radio Row back in February, with the masks scheduled to go on sale April 23, the first night of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Khan described the partnership at the time as something he has been working toward for years.
“It’s really exciting to be able to talk about a partnership that I’ve always dreamed of. I’ve always wanted the NFL and AEW to work together. This is a Jacksonville Jaguars lucha libre mask. But I’m so excited about it because they will be putting this up and these will be available for all 32 NFL teams. So starting the first night of the NFL Draft, Thursday, April 23, we will have these masks available on ShopAEW.com for all 32 NFL teams. Now, finally, I’ve always wanted this. It’s a dream I’ve been working on for years, a partnership between the NFL and AEW. So whoever your NFL team is, whatever football team you’re a fan of, you’ll be able to get an All Elite Wrestling NFL mask for your team,” Khan said.
The partnership carries a natural personal connection for Khan. His father, Shahid Khan, owns the Jacksonville Jaguars and is an investor in AEW. Tony Khan serves as Chief Football Strategy Officer for the Jaguars, in addition to his role as AEW’s founder, and as general manager of Premier League club Fulham FC, which the Khan family also owns.
The NFL already has an existing merchandise partnership with WWE, selling custom WWE championship belts through Fanatics.
