On Wednesday, Tony Khan got everyone talking when he teased that AEW is right around the corner from making big announcements.
While speaking to TV Insider, Khan said that AEW will make the most important announcements in the company’s history imminently. This led to fans speculating what they could be, whether that be potential stadium shows in Texas and Australia next year, which the promotion has been reported to have considered doing.
The most important announcement they could make is about its TV rights deal as their current contract expires with Warner Bros. Discovery at the end of this year.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that regarding big AEW announcements, they were “told that at least one could come as soon as this week.”
